Obituary in memory of James W. Dunn Jr., expressing gratitude to caregivers Marilou, Lulu, and Bong from Living Well.

My Mother, Charlotte Cain, was a client of yours. My family and I are very grateful for the care she received from Nancy Toedna and Loy Williams. During the last month of my mother’s life, she received hospice care along with 24-hour live-in care from Nancy and Loy. My sister and I, as well as our family and friends, were very disturbed about some untrue and unfounded rumors that developed after her death. We know they both gave loving and professional care during her last days and I know that she greatly appreciated their efforts.

I would like to thank you and your staff for the beautiful red rose you sent me for my birthday. The rose, planted in the yard, is already thriving. Also, I thank you for the elegant dark red African violet for Mother’s Day. It, too, is thriving, but in the house by the window for all who enter to admire. Your continued kindness is exceeded only by your efficient office work. For that I am most grateful, too. Have a happier summer. God bless you.

This is in regard to Thelma Morris, also known as Aunt Teen. She had the best of care Dec 2010 through Feb 2011 from Rottie and Ruth, then later from Emilie. Thank you so very much for helping her in her time of need. Aunt Teen told me she couldn’t be without her girls. You made her life better by being there for her.

You and your staff have been a help to an elder lady. I have received checks from CalPERS and hope they continue such good service. Give Rosa a hug.

I just wanted you to know what a jewel Marilou Contave is! She is always on time, has a wonderful attitude — and I really don’t know what we would do without her.

Thank you and your company in taking care of our mother these past 6½ years. Although our mom could not express, our family is appreciative of the efforts of our caregiver Rowena in ensuring that our mom had the best of care under Rowena’s direction.
